About Gulrookh
Gulrookh Abdullajonova is a space enthusiast, future electrical engineer, and aspiring astronaut from Uzbekistan.
Born and raised in a region without a national space agency, she built her own path into the space sector through passion, curiosity, and global connections.
From a young age, Gulrookh dreamed of exploring the universe. She grew up reading science, learning languages, exploring STEM, and joining international programs. Today, she is the founder and director of Gulrookh’s AstroZone — a global platform she created to help others access the space world, no matter where they come from.
Her journey has taken her into conversations with astronauts, engineers, scientists, and industry leaders. Through her work, she represents girls from underrepresented regions who dream of space, proving that passion can break barriers and borders.
Gulrookh is the creator of AstroZone Girls Alliance (AGA) — a non-profit global community empowering girls and women who love space and STEM. Through AGA, she provides mentorship, resources, learning sessions, opportunities, and a worldwide sisterhood of future explorers.
She hosts Gulrookh’s AstroZone Interviews, where she speaks with remarkable figures in the space industry, as well as the Friday Podcast, where she discusses global topics with influential guests.
Her platform also features space news, environmental updates, personal blogs, and a curated space merch store in partnership with SpaceStore.
As she continues her studies in science and engineering, Gulrookh is building a growing presence in the space sector—aiming to become a recognized leader, communicator, and eventually, an astronaut herself. Her mission is simple:
To open the universe to every girl who dreams of the stars.
